Industry Academia Interaction '10

Industry Academia Interaction '10 was held on 3rd April 2010 at IIT Delhi.

Industry Academia Interaction '10

Industry Academia Interaction promotes student projects in collaboration with industries and is closely monitored by IRD, FITT and Dep. Director of IIT Delhi. A pilot test was run in 2009 and final implementation is in process. Over 50 industries, research labs and technical startups across several research areas have been indentified and invited for the meet.

We have classified industries on the basis of their domain of work (e.g. IT, Renewable Energy etc) so that the industry gets to directly interact with the interested students and faculties in that particular field. This time the meet will be held on 3rd April, 2010 (Saturday) from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM

In the meeting:

         •    The industry will present the technical challenges or problems they are presently facing
         •    The experienced faculty will showcase their expertise in the specified field
         •    This will be followed by a discussion session among the interested students, the industry and the faculty on various possible solutions to the problems

The discussion is expected to conclude on a pragmatic problem statement which will be taken by the students as their academic project under the supervision of the interested faculty member in collaboration with the industry.
