About Us
What is Technocracy?
Technocracy, as the name suggests, is about bringing Democracy in Technology, that is, technology of the pupil, for the pupil and by the pupil.
It is a platform to promote and coordinate research and development by students, through student-industry interaction giving students freedom and opportunities to work upon diverse areas of business, technology and existing industrial and national problems, as well as, pursue their own ideas so as to become innovators.
The initiative is a support system for all the people who wish or dream to do get in hand, work experience through practical projects and complete their technical part of personality. It is mainly aimed at providing work experience starting right from 1st year, uplifting the technological standards of students as well as the institute, smoothening the process before and while doing the project and bringing the culture of enjoying them rather than completing them as a burden.
Why Technocracy?
Limited platforms for interest-based convergence
The only platforms available are Robotics club and SAE clubs which have very precise problem statements and have limited participation opportunities.
Negligible horizontal-vertical relationships
There is no proper mechanism where the experience of pupils who have already worked in the field of science can share it with others and provide guidance for further building on of the projects.
Limited participation of students in technology creation and application developments
Removing the basic bottlenecks of lack of enthusiasm, limited knowledge and present culture and bringing a mass participation and contribution from students is the main stress point of our initiative.
Limited non-academic platforms for learning and building expertise in various technical and related managerial skills
There is no such platform where the technical skills of students can be developed as a hobby or a co-curricular activity for self learning and enjoyment. Neither there is platform where they can get expertise in technical and related managerial skills.
Negligible ways for idea sharing and implementation
It shall be providing a stage where ideas can be presented, mooted and implemented.
Negligible industrial participation in creating work-experience opportunities for students
To meet the present day demands of market and international research standards there is very high need of students to be in close touch with the industries.
Absence of a system which channelizes students’ expertise in solving existing national, social and industrial problems
This shall be acting as a very fruitful means where the brilliance of students can actually be harnessed for providing solutions for immediate causes.
